I've been trying this method(https://www.videohelp.com/divxtovcd.htm.) to transfer avi divx/xvid files into an svcd or vcd to burn them onto a dvd to watch on my dvd player, but everytime I finish converting the file to vcd, it comes out with defects. The quality is good, as it should be, and the audio is fine, but the video sometimes blurs and distorts, and at other times, the screen goes entirely black with only the audio playing. Most or about half of the movie is ok, its just the other half or so that gets screwed up, at random times throughout the movie. Does anytone know whats causing this and what I could do to fix it? Either alter this method or try a new one? thanks I really appreciate it, I'm getting a new computer soon and I would like to burn this stuff onto a dvd so I can put dvd burner into new pc, and reformat this one, as it is virused to crap. Thanks again.

There may not be any software problem as the Video is clear initially. I am not very sure - check the free space in Hardisk (for the temporary files to be stored) and also try defragmenting the computer. Does it help? - let us know.
