I'm using the latest version of VLC, however .srt subs do not show up for x264/AVC encoded .mp4 files. idx/sub seems to work perfectly. On installing ffdshow and playing on other players I get no subs for idx/sub or srt. I've tried playing around with VLC/ffdshow settings but in vain. Could someone please help
