  1. Anyone able to do this?

    I want to distribute a mpeg 2 cd that will autorun on most pc's. Thanks for lookin.

  2. You might be better off using MPEG1 since Windows doesn't natively have an MPEG2 codec installed.

    Include an autorun.inf file in the root of the CD - just a text file as follows:

    [autorun]
    open=filename.mpg

    There are switches to open full screen, etc.

  3. Thanks for responding JJ. I have been able to do this with mpeg 1 files and WMP but not mpeg 2 *except* when I have a software player pre-installed like WINDVD (won't autorun) that plays mpeg 2 Then WMP does autorun and play mpeg 2. otherwise I haven't been able to do create an autorun Cd that plays mpeg 2. Someone had mentioned a program called Director??
