    hello,

    Is anyone using WinOnCD5 ?
    How is it for creating (s)VCD's especially slideshows?

    I have not heard of any version past 3.8.

    I like 3.8 for VCD's. If you don't care about menus, there a easier solutions.

    The version is very new. It is shipped since the 15th of november. See for more details: http://www.roxio.de/german/products/winoncd5/index.html

    On a french web-site they are very enthousiastic about it (ee: http://www.planetenumerique.com).
    They say that the user interface is the same as Videopack 5.0 but has some limitations: no chapters and only one menulevel. The latter is a restriction in comparison with the previous WinOnCD 3.8 version. This is confirmed on a german forum (see: http://www.dvd-svcd-forum.de ).
    On this german forum they say that according the manaul WinOnCD 5.0 allows to use a MPEG2 plug-in for conversion of AVI file to MPEG2, but they haven't found this plug-in on Roxio's web-site yet.
