  1. Sorry if this subject has already been covered here a million times...I'm jumping in a bit late, and couldn't find it through a search.

Is it possible to burn audio files (MP3) to a DVD?

If so, how does one do this? Do I need special software? I've got Music Jukebox and have been burning to CDs with it.

I've got a DVD writable drive in my PC. I've tried burning music files to it, but get a message "The inserted disc does not allow burning audio files" or some such thing.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

you can burn MP3s to a dvd no problem, not many dvd players will know how to play it though.

there's a guide for creating a DVD with audio content only, but they have to be .ac3 or .wav format, and at 48khz.

    Hello,
I haven't done it myself but a quick search of the author guides on this site will help. look up this phrase:

CDDA on DVD, aka creating "Audio DVD-Video"

and you will find a guide using tmpgenc. Hope this helps.

The problem isn't burning them to a DVDR....the problem you will have will be getting a DVD Player to recognize the disc and actually play the songs. If you are looking to preserve the MP3's - any DVD software can format the DVD and allow you to simply drag and drop the MP3's to the DVD....but I suspect you are wanting to play them in a DVD Player for HOURS..
I've tried one software to do what I think you are looking for called Audio DVD Creator ....it did some things I did not like but you may want to try it.
