    hi all i have a file that im trying to encode with tmpgenc but it wont let me open it tried it with virtualdubmod and it says compression algorithm which is not compatible can anyone help?

    Do you know what the actual format of the file is? Try opening it in GSPOT to find the exact type.

    does gspot tell you that you have the correct codecs installed?

    or the file is corrupt would be my guess

    thanx guys answer to the first no it dont tell me about the codecs and secondly it seems to play ok then again i have'nt played it all yet

    just checked 4 bad frames with virtualdub found 0 bad frames but said they were undecodeable?any ideas
