  1. AVI2MPG (1.74) no problems ...
Tmpenge (2.00.29.113) No problems when I view the Mpeg with Windows Media Player ...
Nero (5.5.5.1) no apparent problems, good burn ...
Then I put the disk int my Computer DVD and it played wonderously! UNTIL 8:30 Minutes into the feature (on both disks (Part 1 and Part 2)) the picture goes from crystal clear (VCD clear) and then switches to a picture that looks like my son made it out of leggos. This switch is every half second.

I am working in NTSC (Not The Same Color)
I am encoding on a Dell I8000 Laptop
    800 Mhz Intel PIII
    10 Gig HD
    11X DVD rom

    Burning with A
    266 Mhz Cyrx PII
    Same HD
    8X Yamaha 8824e Burner

should I DE-Multiplex with Tmpenge and then Multiplex with Tmpenge or what??

Thank You in advance for helping a brother newbie in need ... remember, you were once in my shoes too.

  2. Just to be clear, when you play the MPEG in media player it plays normal from start to finish (ie. nothing changes at 08:30 to end).

What's the source material (avi or DivX).

I do nearly the exact same thing (except my DVD's come from Rogers Video and I haven't run into that problem yet.

Can you copy the .dat file back to the hard drive from the vcd, and play THAT in WME? Does it play ok all the way through? If so, then it could be a CD issue (bad CD or something), if the .dat does not play correctly from the hard drive, then its gotta be a problem in NERO?
