I finally managed to burn a DVD-RW using Sonic's Compaq OEM LE version of DVDit! on my Pioneer DV-103. It has a VIDEO_TS folder with a bunch of files in there. Presumably, these are my one menu and 11 short movies.
So far, I have not been able to find any player that recognizes this as a DVD Video. I tried WinDVD, InterVU and Zoomplayer on my PC with no luck. Windows ME seems to think it's an Audio CD with 2.14 Gb free. I took it to a store and tried it in several standalone players (Panasonic DVD-RV31, among others). Nothing. I even stuck it in my friend's Apple G3 Titanium, which just spit it out.
I guess I should be glad I didn't waste a $6 DVD-R on this attempt.
Does anyone out there have any advice for a DVD Authoring newbie?
