I have a collection of DVDs that I have made. They play fine in DVD players, and on my PC that I built them on. I have recently built a PC to use as a HTPC (Home Theater PC).

I have an application on the HTPC called MyHD that plays DVDs, VOBs, and MPGS through a High Definition card (MyHD120). DVDs play excellent (they get upscaled to HD quality...to the extent they can given the resolution of DVDs).

DVDs that I create, using Adobe Premier to create the MPG files, and Ulead DVD Workshop to make into VOBs will play fine on the HTPC, but the sound will not. No sound at all. No matter how I set the settings in MyHD. Same with MPGs straight out of Adobe.

When I try to play it in MS Media Player, I get the following error:

Title in error window: ZAUDFLT.AX
Audio Packet data needs to be taken care of.

ZAUDFLT.AX happens to be a file in MyHD. I'm not sure why the error is coming up from it when I play in Microsoft media player.

Now, I also tried creating an INtro file to play in front of my movies.
The file I created is an MPG file, created with Adobe Premier. The file plays fine, but only plays sound if I select SPDIF (That would be the SPDIF on the MyHD card). If I have MyHD set to Wave/SPDIF, or any other setting for that matter, I get no sound. Only if set to SPDIF under Audio Output. But all of the commercial DVDs play when set to Wave/SPDIF (That runs the file in wave format across the bus, and out the SPDIF of the motherboard.) This I consider possibly a MyHD card problem

It seems to me that the MyHD installation is also affecting MS Media Player, given the Zaudflt.ax error when I use it. I am thinking also that maybe it is a CODEC problem. Don't know what CODECs I should install at this point. Also don't want to mess up MyHD on the HTPC. I posted this in AVS forums, and have gotten no response. I think the self created DVDs is out of their expertise area.

Hoping for some suggestions.
