First I would like to say that I have both the Epson R200 and the Epson R300 and to be honest to u all, my printed Disc's look the same "GOOD"!! I first change the picture resolution using PhotoShop to 250 or 300dpi, before printing on to the disc's "printer settings are Photo and Level 0". I've used many brands of disc's and have found that the BeAll's print surface dries in 8min. I also spary my disc's with Krylon "Preserve It"! I first let the disc dry for an hour then I lay a sheet of plastic wrap over a Jewel Case and place the disc in the center holder "this helps keep the spray form getting under it" Hold the can about 1foot away and spary, it dries in 15min, whip the surface with a soft cloth and that's IT!!! Good Luck To You All! Hit me up if you have any better ideas. Or if u want to trade sercrets. hehe!!

Nice! Maxell is a good brand, what writter do u have? I got an NEC 2500 and a Sony DRU500A. Both use the same media so it makes it nice when I buy Disc's. Have you ever sprayed ur disc's, cause even though they feel dry on a humid day you can smear it with your finger tips. Depending on how you handle the disc's. That is y I spray mine, it doesn't make them waterproof just smear proof.hehe!

Do a DVD with a jet black surface and run your finger down the media
the instant it comes out. You might feel a slight sticky feeling although
the surface seems dry and does not smudge - this is what I mean by
    "not dry".

I have a Pioneer AO6. I have sprayed some discs. I get thick paper towel
and place it over a cd case. I then insert the DVD making sure the center
hole and sides are level with the hugh absorbancy paper. I then give several
quick coats of hairspray, until DVD surface is wet and glistening.

  6. Mine are dry when they come out also, i never have to wait. To make mine dry faster i just print to the disk right after the burn, because the disk is still warm and can dry alot faster.

Well Kid I was talking about waiting for the disc's to dry before you spray them if not it will end up tacky. Mine also come out dry to the touch, but you have to let them cure before you start handling them. As to drying them faster you might want to play the disc's in your player. That always does the trick for me. As for your trick w/ the hair spray that's cool it may work for u but my friend does that and the paper gets wet and soaks the spary to the underside of the disc, that is why i use plastic wrap cause it clings to the underside "TRY IT" you'll see. hehe! Hair spray Hmmm....IC..doesn't the disc's tack-up when your hands get moist. But thanx for the info! Please Send More insight!!!!
