I still cant seem to get it i want to add audio to my menu background pictures in TMPG authour and i have asked on here and searched on here but it still aint workin for me, first i use tmpgnc plus to encode a jpeg picture with a wav file so it can be used in tmpgen authour, that bit works fine but when the dvd is created the audio plays for a fraction of a second, its literally a blip then nothing, i have set the motion menu setting to well over 30 seconds, so its not that, CAN ANYONE help me out, its really bugging me, any help would be much appreciated!!!!

  2. How long is your original Wav file?
Is it encoded at 48000 to be compliant with DVD?

I have done this and it does work (pain in the behind though). DVD Author is a great program but this is a MAJOR flaw in my opnion that you can't add audio to your menu in a simple way.

I always find it easier to just make the motion menu in my video editing app. and output it as MPEG-2, complete with audio then just set the timeout length of the menu to match that file.

It's just easier than screwing around with it seperately.

So since you are just doing pictures as backgrounds. Go into your video editing application. Drop the picture on the time line, drop your sound on the timeline and then just stretch your picture's view time to match the sound file. Output it to MPEG-2. OR.....output it to AVI, then use TMPGEnc Plus to seperate the sound and video.
