My friend has a P3 computer with a Invida video card and running WinXP
When she try to play any video file using any DVD application the picture starts stuttering.![]()
I have found that if I turn down the hardware accelation control in display setting that I can get the video to play normally using the DVD application (in this case Ulead's DVD player).![]()
However, since this impact some of her other applications, I was wondering if there is a better solution![]()

Make sure that the drivers for the video card are up to date. Also, make sure she is using the latest version of the DVD playback software. It sounds like a problem with the interaction between these two.

There "fresh off the internet" so they are the lastest version(s)

The next time I'll record the type of video card she has and either download a new driver from her (cable modem) computer. Or I'll have to use my old slow 36.6
