  1. Hello. I'm a newbie and I have a question.

So far ripping and converting are no problems. I'm encoding and it's taking soooooooooo long. Starting at 7:30 pm and at 9:30 am it was only at 56% with 10 hours to go. Is this normal?

I'm also worried about my processor because I'm doing all this on a Dell laptop with Firewire 30G HD and a Firewire CDR/RW Drive.

    Can anyone help?

It is a German company with an American head quarters. You can contact them

  3. NYKim,

For your encoding, which proggy, settings, and CPU do you have.

Depending on your settings, it can take quite a long time.

  4. Well, I'm using TMPGEnc with Sefy's Template for making VCDs. I'm following Sefy's newbie guide. My computer has 128 RAM and a Pentium III 600MHz.

    Thanks for any help!

  5. You mentioned you are using a Laptop, do you happen to have any hybernation activated ? cause this will slow down and propably STOP the encoding, and then the time keeps going while noting is being done, disable any sleep or hybernation when you do your encoding, it starts by reducing the speed of your CPU and then by putting the PC to sleep which isn't so good for encoding
