Is it possible to do a multisession VCD? I made a couple of VCD with Nero wihtout checking the "Finalize the CD" and when I try to add files it tells me that the CD is not empty.

Yes and No (but mostly No).
Yes--It is possible to make a standard VCD, but not finalize it, and then put additional ISO Filesystem (DATA) files on it in the subsequent session(s). However, this is HIGHLY DISCOURAGED! Even with the same player and same setup, playback is unpredictable and not assured.
No--It is NOT possible to make a VCD that includes MPEG tracks that span multiple sessions. The White Book spec clearly requires all the tracks to be in a single session. This mirrors the Red Book requirements.
