I have Comcast digital cable and plan to buy a TV tuner card. I want to record TV shows directly to my hard drive. My question is should I connect the cable box line-out to my TV card or should I connect the cable coming from the wall to my TV card?
Thanks

If you connect before the box, no digital channels, but you can control with the tuner on the card, record while you watch something else.
If you connect after the box, channel select is by the box, only channel 3 on tuner card has signal, watch/record same channel.
