  1. I tried to search, but could not find anything. If there is, someone please point me to the thread. Here is my problem.

When using nero 6 to burn a svcd to a disk, it werk fine for 1 or 2 copies. Then after that I get write errors. Continuosly ruining disks. Whats the deal. Is this software that unstable? I shouldn't have to adjust something in it's config file after every two burns. Anyone have any insight into why this happens and what I can do? I like nero and would like to continue to use it, but until I can find an answer, I have to use other programs to burn my finished projects.

    Thanks in advance.

reinstall your cd-burner might help, but i don't know. if nothing works, you could reformat and reinstall windows, that helps very often.

  5. Yea... I have tried re-installing nero a couple of times. It works for 2 or so burns then craps out again...

There has to be a reason... something in the codes or drivers... i dunno.... Ill keep checking back here in case someone wlse attempts to assist.

Thx to all who have replied with help!

Are you saying you can burn 1 or 2 disks in a day or 2, or you can get 2 burns in succession, 1 in and out, another in and out, and the 3rd screws up?

If that is it, what happens if you let the burner cool down? Good or bad?

The program itself will not get corrupted so as to need reinstalled. More likely the writer cools down while you are installing. What burner? Just so I don't ever buy that brand.

    Cheers,

  7. Another fault I have noticed with Nero (same problems as ssjtiamat), the temp folder gets choked with hundreds of entries (XP Pro). After every 2 or 3 burns, I empty the temp folder, then Nero burns nicely for 2 or 3 more. It's a bit of a pain in the butt. Disk space is not an issue here, and one would think the temp folder would just grow to accommodate what's needed, but it's just not so.

  8. George... what happens is I will burn 1 or 2 copies of something (a vcd in this case) and then come back later or the next day and try to burn another copy and whamo! Write process fails. Maybe its a copyright issue. Maybe nero thinks Im distributing something I shouldn't, but thats not the case. Im burning a self-made vcd to a disk using nero and then it happens.
