  1. I have read many guideson how to burn VCD to DVD. And all of them tells me I have to convert it because of audio differences (for SVCD you would need to convert the video too.)

However they do not answer my questions, I have many vcd movies (in .bin/.cue format) that I want to burn on to a dvd with a menu so you can select which movie to play. That way I can burn about 2 or 3 Movies on 1 DVD instead of 4 to 6 VCDs.

I do have another question tho, How come you can't just burn vcd onto the dvd? I mean DVD is basically just a CD with larger amount of storage.

Nope, a dvd isn't just a cd with more space. You can't burn in mode2 form2(vcd mode) on a dvd. https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/135642.php . You can just burn the vcd structure on a dvd though, but it wont work on most dvd players because it identify the media first and if it is a dvd it only checks for dvd-video/audio content.

With tmpgenc dvd author can you create menus for you vcds on a dvd and it will convert the audio to 48 khz.
