I have been burning VCDs for a while now and one thing I am starting to notice more and more is that at the end of the disk I start to get the green blocks and the audio jumps out of sync. This is normally at the end of the second disk which is obviously very annoying.
I have tried different media and recording at different speeds but it seems to be a repeating problem. Is this llikely to be my player or the encoding process? On a side note, my audio CDs that I burn to wav from mp3 start to crackle on the last few tracks too!

Sounds very much like a media problem, or that your laser pickup is starting to get weak (if identical media used to work).

Sounds like it starts to fail when the drives gets hot.
