Help with Nero

In the guide for making menus with Nero, it says that you can fit more than 700 MB on an 80 minute cd. When i tried to burn a VCD that had a total of 721 MB Nero told me that i needed to insert a CD with a bigger capacity. I was just wondering if it is true that i can put more than 700 MB onto a 80 minute CD. And if you can, how is it done?

Did you try to burn the VCD as a VCD or as a CD-ROM?
