Burning VCD using Nero for my Pioneer DV 626D DVD player

Hi,
I have tried several times to make a video CD or Super Video CD for my Pioneer DV 626 DVD player, using Nero 5.5.5.1, but it just will not work.
If I try to play the video CD on other players it works. Have anybody had the same problem, and what can be done about it ? Is there another software program besides Nero, that can do the job, or is this Pioneer model just
impossible ??

I've got a Pioneer DV-606D. The only way I've gotten VCDs to work on it is by using CDR/W media. Can't explain why, but they work, while all other media I've tried diesn't. I've even tried the infamous highly reflective "black" media. I found a 50 spindle of R/W at http://www.memorymedia.com for $50.75 (that includes shipping). Just be sure to mention pricewatch.com
