  1. I've used FitCD to calculate the bitrate for my dvd rip,I've used CCE,and bbmpeg to mux audio and video. The resulting mpeg file size is approx 1.55gb. Truman and Sully have been advising me on this, but I still have a problem. I've been told that 1.55 will fit onto two 80min cd's. I've made one complete mpeg and then split it in to two mpegs(assumming approx 775mb for each) with TMPGenc(to burn seperatley to two discs).
When I take one of the individual mpegs and try to burn it with Nero on an 80 min cd, it tells me the media is not big enough???
Any advice as to what I am doing wrong??
    Thanks Raider.

  2. An 80min CDR will hold 800MB of mode2 (ie. MPEG) data so it should work. In fact I've made MPEG files up to 798.9MB w/o problems.

It's possible that the timepoints are bad, and nero is padding the MPEG to correct them pushing the file over the size limit. Try:

    1) Demux w/ TMPGenc
    2) Re-mux w/ bbMPEG
    3) Make image w/ VCDImager (+ GUI, VCDImager Easy is best choice IMHO)
    4) Burn Image

I've had this happen when I spilt files w/ TMPGenc, or try to burn xSVCD w/ Nero (xVCD are ok for some reason).

  3. @Vejita-sama

thanks for that mate, sorry, should have mentioned that it is SVCD, or did you assume that already.I'll try demux amd mux again, but have never used or know anything about VCDImager??

Would I still need to split the whole original mpeg to use VCDimager, or is there an option/setting in there that will determine the file size and split it so that it will fit on 2 80min discs

    cheers Raider.

  4. i have the same problem with the new versions of nero....but if you can find or want version 5.0.0.9 that works fine with all split mpegs.
