weird frame problems during playback

I burned a compilation DVD using DVDShrink. For some reason, when playing it back (on standalone player or DVD-ROM), I see some frames where they shouldn't be. For example, I have a title screen that I created. After the title fades, it comes back on-screen for just a split second before playing the next scene/chapter. I also had a problem within a scene itself, not just when going from chapter to chapter. Another example: during one scene, there are two characters talking. The video is supposed to go from a shot of one actor to the other and back, but when playing it back on the DVD+R I made, a frame from a second or two before (or after- not sure) which.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? I'm using a Teac 8X DVD+R/RW burner and 4X Memorex media. I burned at 4X. I don't know if it's a burning issue or a problem with the DVD Shrink when I pulled the scenes.
