Why so much software in Nero Ultra edition?

Hello!

I have noticed that in Nero Ultra edition 6.3.0.0 which is what I am using there is several piece of software that seams to do the exact same thing as Nero Burning Rom. There is Nero Vision Express and Nero Express both of which can also burn VCD SVCD's etc just like Burning Rom.

Why is there several options when burning for instance a VCD or SVCD?

When is one software better to use over the others?

Is not Nero Burning ROM all that you really need?

In fact, you don't need Nero at all... There are freeware applications that equals or outperforms every aspect of Nero (with the exception of Nero digital encoding, which I found incredibly good).

Nero Express is just a pretty interface with a more friendly gui not sure about vision express though. They both use the same program just with a different front screen.

Nero Vision Express is for capturing video, then burning it to disc. By the way, I was impressed by Nero Digital as well.
