  1. I just made my first VCD yesterday and it was wonderful. Everything worked great. Today I merged three of my MPG files together and followed the guide to make menus. The menus didn't work with Nero, so I tried FireBurner with much better results in terms of the menus working. Only problem is now that the menus are working, it seems that the video is a little slow and the audio is a little scratchy, almost like everything is running just a touch slow and it's trying to keep up with itself. I'm pretty disappointed because I thought I was there when the menus worked, but now I'm having this problem. Can anyone recommend to me what the problem is? The MPG of all the files combined is perfect quality before I convert to BIN and CUE... I capture using VirtualDub, convert using TMPEGEnc, use TSVC to make the menus (according to MistaMizza's guide or whatever his name is, sorry), then burn with FireBurner. Everything should be the newest versions as I just downloaded in the last week. Thanks for any advice or pointers.

I have been told that TMPGEnc does not always multiplex video and audio correctly. A solution could be to demultiplex audio and video with TMPGEnc, and multiplex again with "bbMPEG", http://members.home.net/beyeler/bbmpeg.html, using the correct VCD template. See also this guide at doom9.org: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/bbmpeg.htm

For burning the bin/cue image you can also use cdrdao. TSCV can act as a GUI for cdrdao.
