Still can't do SVCD with AIW/TMPg/NERO

Capture as follows: with AIW 128 MMC7.1
480x480
bitrate 2.3 cbr
no masking
Mpeg2
Motion @ 99

Open TMPgenc 12
Load SVCD template (Super Video CD NTSC.mcf) and change configuration to CBR 2.3
(I’m not encoding, just want to do VBV optimizer to make it compliant)
I then go into mpeg tools and select VBV optimizer, select mpeg2 Super video CD (VBR) as type in VBV, browse my file and run. EVERYTHING WORKING GREAT SO FAR.

Question #1) Do I need to load a template if just doing VBV optimizer?

I then open Nero 5.5 and select SVCD. Locate my VBV optimized file and drag to Nero.
Once in Nero I play my clip and it plays fine. OK BURN !!!!!!!

Put it in my standalone DVD player (Raite 715 which is on the compatibility list), the led display’s on my DVD starts counting as if it’s playing but I get NO VIDEO or SOUND. I have also tried multiple CDR’s with the same results.

Question #2) Can I burn SVCD with NERO demo version?

I've tried everything that I read in this forum but they just won't play.
Can somebody help me out??????????????
