  1. has anyone seen the clone wars vcd doing the rounds at the moment on torrents etc, please point me to a guide/s that will help me achieve this kind of standard for presentation of my own vcds, or does anyone know what tools this guy used?

    No, I don't us that stuff. My SW Clone Wars came from my tv and went directly to DVD. Pretty good presentation, I'd say.

    Nope. He bought the rights to view the broadcast. Under the Fair Use right to time shift he can watch it whenever or however many times he wants to. The medium he chooses to use for this purpose is up to him, regardless of whether there is a commercial version of the source on that medium available.

    §kipTracer65, I realize this is seemingly a grey area since you can legally record television broadcasts, but maybe you don't know that you cannot distribute them. It is illegal for you to download a VCD of the Clone Wars, so there is no reason to use this source for comparison since discussinon of warez is not allowed here. If you just want general advice on how to make a high quality VCD, well I'm sure plenty of people can help you here but the first place to look is the guides to your left.
