  1. Hello, i have a strange problem.
i have made a vcd from some dat files. they are in the pal format. i can play the vcd on my stand alone vcd player. but when i try to play the vcd on a pioneer dvd player, it doesnt display the video on the screen. some audio can be heard...only 1 second of it and then the audio loops back to the beginning.
the pioneer dvd player shows 'pbc playback' in its display panel. the stand alone vcd player shows vcd 2.0 pbc off on the screen when it reads the vcd. i use nti cdmaker for burning the vcd.

i've tried converting the dat files to mpg files using vcdeasy and vcdgear too. i've also tried another method where i directly burn the dat files into vcd format using nti cd maker. using the above processes i have been able to successfully view the vcds on the pioneer dvd player but of late, i'm not able to view the vcds. has something gone wrong with the dvd player?
can u pls tell me what is going wrong?
    Thanks

  2. the same happens even with vcdeasy.
the dvd player only loops the 1st 3 secs of the audio continuously. no video appears.

    this happens with nti too
