HUH
I thought they were the same product, but just interchangeable names.
FULL NAME: Scenalyzer Live
SHORT NAME: ScLive
Am I missing something here :P -
The main porpouse of Scenalyzer is to divide an already captured AVI-DV file in smaller parts, based on optical scene recognition or date-time changes.
ScenalyzerLive can capture from a DV camera or a DV bridge, split the capture files by optical or date-time or timestamp and can send files back to the DV cam.
It can send DV cam controls like Play, FForward, Rewind etc.
Latest versions also have a timer.
You can judge by yourself because the first is freeware, the second is available as a full-working demo with watermark on output files.

wow now I am either confused or stupid ...
After looking it seemed to me that in fact they ARE the same SW ...
but now I don't understand Riccardom's reply ...
if it helps I care MORE about the cature in a clena way than the scene splitting.
thanks

They are TWO different software.
Scenalyzer does only file splitting.
ScenalyzerLive (ScLive for short) can also capture from tape and record to tape.
Hope it helps
