  1. Hi!

I'm new to creating SVCDs. I have downloaded the "fully functional" trial version of Nero 6 and also suceeded to create SVCDs. The problem I seem to have this far is the quality of the MPEG2 tracks. While trying different ways to convert my 1 minute test AVI to MPEG2, I would like to add the different trial MPEG2 tracks to the SVCD I already created.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks for any help!

  2. add all the tacks to your svcd compilation then burn it. As long as the whole compilation is less than the capacity of the cdr you will have no problems. When working on a compliation you can save it in nero and reload it again to alter it, the burn. use cdrw.

  3. OK!

No way to add tracks to an SVCD on CDR then (without burning a new CDR)!?.

As you saw in my latest post "AVI to SVCD impossible?" I have replaced the video track on an existing SVCD (without Nero involved) with new ones as I experiment with new ways to convert my test AVI to MPEG2 as a way of saving CDRs. Is that OK as long as the name is the same? Does the difference in file size matter?

    Thanks anyway!

    No.

There is some pertinent information about the structure and tracks of a S/VCD written in the PBC which is on the first track. Since you can't change data that is already written on a disc, you cannot change the PBC without erasing the whole disc (if you are using CD-RW).

  5. Good god what you are trying to do sounds like a builder I had..
I would rebuild your svcd structure every time you change something. This is the only way to Gtee it will work. Use cdrw to test to save on cdr (and Biosphere 1). Vcdeasy (authoring) is an excellent prgram . use an mpeg encoder and vcdeasy to test. Using a different App might give a diff/better view on what you are doing. :P
