    I alreadu know, that when converting an AVI file into MPG, then with the help of TMPGenc and VirtualDub, you can add subtitles to the file, but I already have an MPG file and I would like to add subtitles straight to it.
    Is it possible and how??? Please help!

  2. virtualdubmod, but you will be reencoding the mpg again.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    I already tryed and it worked, but thanx alot for the reply.

    A QUESTION: Does it re-encode faster if the file is already mpg?

    Cuq I may have to re-encode an AVI file anyway, but if it encodes mpg faster, then ill try harder to get it!

  4. I don't think there should be a difference in the encoding speed, though I'm not sure

    Keep in mind that if it's an SVCD and your DVD player supports selectable subs you can mux the subs into the movie without reencoding (thus saving time and quality) using this guide http://www.how-to-convert.com/ask_us/a7042003.htm
