I was just curious because I see it being sold with alot of new PC's. Do you find it usefull?

Well it might indeed be if you plan on using the machine its on as your primary box. In my case its going to be a dedicated box. It can record live tv, be my DVD player, play divx on my TV if you install the right software, and backup to DVD-rs. Sounds fine to me.
