  1. I have a DVD-R disc that plays well on every set top player that I try it in.

I want to copy it to my HDD and be able to play it back using WinDVD.

    What freeware should I use?

What "file(s)" are required in the WinDVD "files" playback list to make it work?

    Regards

  3. after ripping the files using dvd decrypter or similar you need the option in windvd that says open dvd from folder.

A dialogue box will come up for you to locate the dvd folder. In the folder where the dvd was saved there should be a file called VIDEO_TS -click on the folder and then click open on the dialogue box and presto!

If you try to double click on the VIDEO_TS folder it wont play

DVD-R's aren't encrypted, just copy the files normally.
