I am planning to convert DV-Pal footage into Windows Media video clips (or maybe Divx) for web usage. I am thinking of a resolution for the WMV clips of around 400X300.
After reading lots of information on the internet, i am still not sure if it's better to deinterlace the DV footage before i resize and convert it to WMV or just keep it interlaced.
Advice on this is much appreciated (also on method/tools recommended for deinterlacing in this case).
Thanks!

Very interesting, thanks!
But i still have two questions after reading that site:
1. The author mentions resizing down to 384x288 (pal) or below as a good deinterlacing method because:
'Movies that are 288 pixels high and below cannot be interlaced. So 384x288 is the largest size that ensures you have a progressive-frames-only video'
So if i just resize to 384X288 with any video editing software, it is automatically deinterlaced? What does exactly happen that makes it deintelaced at that size?
2. Does this mean i need to deinterlace when i make a larger WMV internet videoclip, let's say 400X300 or 480X360?
