covered in green when capturing?

Hi, i was looking ahead if anyone posted this question but I havent found it, sorry to bother you but I have an ATI all in wonder 128 pci pro RAGE.. and I open my multimedia 7.1, and then I close it, I then open VirtualDub and capture AVI and I set it on preview and the screen is covered in green when capturing, only a slightly little piece of the video is showing! what is wrong and what do i need to do? specific settings would be muchly appreciated.

AIW + green usually = macrovision.

my source? well someone asked me that today also, well from either the TV, VCR, or my satellite dish. i am on cable tv though.... i dunno why! what do i do,

I found a Macrovision disabler and i think i will try it, i will post the link if requested, and if it doesnt work, then what do i do??????3

OK, this is what happends, it doesnt work, either cause i dunno how or i cant. I open my VirtualDub and i goto Video->source and then i click on TV Tuner and i choose channel 49 (BET) on cable and on status it says locked, and then on antenna it also says locked on the channels it show, then on ANTENNA the channels that dont show anything and all blurry like rain, it says unlocked.. but why? with my multimedia direct capturing i can capture and not with virtualdub? oh man did i lose you at all? cause i hope you guys know what im talking about, damn VD doesnt wanna work, well reply plz

likwid8, did you get a solution for this? I have the same problem!! I hate the "video recorder" that comes with mmc 7.1. Whenever I hit record, I get a "snowy" effect that goes away when I stop recording. Everything I read here says use VirtualDub. But I havent got that d*mn green screen beat.

OK people, this shouldn't be hard to give us an answer, like seriously, I am going bonkers trying to get an answer, went to the official download site, not in the FAQ's, asked in IRC, nothing there, asked here, u peope assumed it was macrovisio? but it cant, its not from DVD, only from Cable/Satellite, and yes i opened my MM 7.1 and closed it and opened virtual dub, yes I used a codec to make sure, all these stuff I did, oh man... I really hope someone tries to gimme a solution, thnxs
