  1. I need a software player that will allow me to select audio channels for my VCD files. I have some vcds which are bilingual and you need to select the correct channel or both languages will be mixed. Which software player does this? I've tried PowerDVD and WinDVD, but I can't find the option to let me do this. Thanks.

  2. You have VCDs with dual audio tracks?? How?

Maybe its a SVCD, if so I think WinDVD and PowerDVD should have the option somewhere... right-click?

do a seach on download.com for vcd player..

i dont think VCD can have dual audio tracks!!

  3. I guess I didn't explain this correctly. The VCD I have has a language on the Left Channel and a different language on the Right Channel. Its so that you can select the language that you want, but the sound will be mono, not stereo. On my standalone, I can select it to play only one of the channels. Sometimes I like to watch it on my computer though, and when both channels are played at once, it sounds like jibberish.

  5. Thanks, but I was trying to avoid that option. That would mean that sound would only come out of one speaker and it doesn't work to well when you are using headphones. I used to have a player that let me select it, but sadly I forgot the name and I don't know where it went.

yeah, but that would still garble the channels, theyd just both come from one side anyway. (i think)

I know theres a way to set the Input Balance - that's what your situation callls for... Not just balance...

Mandarin on the right and cantonese on the left with Engrish and Japanese subs.....

    Flashback city!!!!

What you want doesn't exist in an english version. Not that I've seen, and I watch a lot of bad kung-fu movies. On some soundcards you can configure them for forced mono, where everything goes to all speakers. You then mute the left or right channel. It good for 60's rock recordings also (instruments on one channel and vocals on another).
