OK, So I have just thrown an mpg file at version 0.0.8 ffmpeg.
I use the preset for a PAL VCD, the reulting files are a .m1v file that is 522Mb and an.mp2 file that is zero k.

Obvioulsy as the zero k file is zero k, there is no sound, the original mpeg's sound was fine....why is this..

For arguments sake lets say both files were Ok, how do I then burn the VCD from these files.

As mentioned this is my first attempt so I really dont know what I'm doing.

    Cheers

  2. There is indeed a sound problem with input .mpg and output mpeg-1/mpeg-2 with the new "Decode with Quicktime" enabled. I will fix it in next version.

For now, you can still encode mpg to mpeg-1/mpeg-2 by disabling "Decode with Quicktime".

Not sure how as Im unaccustomed to the software at the moment, but I went into tools and ran something from there and it gave me two perfect files which went together fine..

Just to claify, when I set lets say VCD preset, is that all I have to do, I dont have to go through all the other tabs.... should this produce the .bin file or do I still have to mux them at the end..

    Appreciate your advice

A typical encoding sequence is: drop a .mov file onto the application icon, select VCD preset, click encode. You will get as output a .mpg file for viewing on the computer and a .bin file for burning with Toast 5 in VCD mode.
