  1. Hi!

Hope that someone can help me:

Is there any way how to rip a DVD and also extract the "good" sound, meaning 6ch or DDigital Signal or so? ( For using it with a VCD in my Sony DVD Player)
I had a look on the page, but couldnīt find any answer.

Thanks in advance and best regards to all of you...

  4. FLX54,

There is absolutely NO way you can put Dolby Digital audio on a VCD and expect it to play.

If you just want to extract the raw AC3 data from a VOB file, I'm pretty sure that you can do it with SmartRipper. I haven't done this for a while, but last time I did it, I used vobdec. This is a command console proggy though, so you may want to try SmartRipper first.

  5. Couldn't you just use Smartripper to get the VOBs off of the disc and then de-mux the streams using TMPGEnc?

  6. yes you could do both methods...and in either case, once you get the AC3 file...I would just using Azid->toolame to make it into mp2 for use in VCD...see doom9.net
