    Ok when trying encode anything using TMPGE I notice that I always get a very very slight pause every 2 or 3 seconds, allthough its is very slight, so was wondering if anyone knows why?

    its always done it, and I've tried all the obvious ie re-install, closing all programs etc cetc

    Try checking to mke sure your source and target have the same frame rates. Next, you can also change field orders, and you may also want to try a different media.
