How do i capture a 60 min. movie from dv tape via firewire into a single .avi file with adobe premiere6 without this annoying 4gb limit. I want to be able to capture the entire movie into 1 .avi file. I am using windows me, 1.4 ghz p4 640ram 60gb hd. please help.

Well, unless you're using NTFS, you'll have to split the avi into smaller files. The 4GB limitation is related to FAT/FAT32.
I can tell you that programs like av_io and virtualdub just segment the avi's, but I don't think they do dv capture. -
Try upgrading to WINDOWS 2000 or WIN XP - they will allow you to format a drive with the NTFS file system - thus ridding you of that nasty 4GB file size limit.

avi io does do DV captures but it doesn't work with all dv cameras, so its best to take alook at the web site.
