    i have burnt my dig photos onto disc using nero as a vcd to view on my dvd player
    i now want to view them on my pc as i have deleted originals.
    it comes up as mpeg2 in propertys but i have down loaded plaayers and can not view the pics
    help

  2. Have you got a software DVD player installed on your pc?

    I have PowerDVD and it can capture single frames from any media it can play and save these captured frames as BMP images.

    tryed windvd,arcsoft videoimpression,
    all sorts of stuff.
    could do with some help its the only photos of my gran who past away the other day.
    i could e mail you a photo from the disc to see if you can open it ( not of her )
    or any other help would be great

    PowerDVD can do that. Open it - click on the little hammer-like icon. Go to video tab - UNTICK enable hardware acceleration.

    Now use the camera icon to grab back the screen images.

    Remember to re-enable hardware acceleration when you're done.

    I don't understand that part. If you can grab & then email "a photo from the disc", then what is the difficulty you are having in grabbing then resaving as a bmp or other graphic format.

    I'm puzzled.
