Everytime I turn on VirtualDub, the sound and fps settings are horribly low. Sometimes I forget to set them high and end up with a bad quality capture. I want the settings to always be 44k/16/stereo and 29.97fps. Is there a way I can set these settings as the default without physically resetting them each time I start a new AVI?

Go into FILE-CAPTURE AVI. Set all your settings. Then go to CAPTURE-PREFERENCES click all the Save checkboxes. Hi OK and that should save your defaults.
