  1. anyone know where i can buy a machine that records in divx format, and play divx movies on a tv... One of my friends have one that does it with vcd, so i was just wondering if its possible the other thing..

  3. if you have a computer with a video in/out you can use virtualdub to make a Divx VDR. that and you can program 6 shows to record.

  4. There seems to be a big push for Mpeg-4 for online content at the moment. "They" are trying to convince Real Media, Apple (quicktime), and MS (Media Player) to adapt to one standard for streaming media on the net. But, it looks like MS want's to push Media-8 as the new standard. They will most likely not agree...

  5. as far as i know, samsung has devloped a chip that can do mpeg4 encoding. whether or not it has been implemented in anything yet, i don't know. but if you want you can go to their site and take a look around. the mpeg4 chip came out quite awhile ago now.
