Do i need to re-install my power dvd player?

  4. check to see that you are not running in 5.1 surround sound if you dont have a 5.1 sourround setup.... check both the windows setup, your soundcard setup, and power DVD setup......

  5. I'm still having this problem!!

Power dvd is the main problem!! Still no voice sound when playing a dvd movie!!

Windows media player now works with voices but sometimes i have to move the balance bar on the equalizer all the way to the left or right.

  6. Don 2050 seems to be on the right track here. Somewhere in your system, it is set to render sound from DVDs in 5.1 surround sound whereas is sounds as if you are using stereo speakers (2 speakers only). Go through every option on your audio cards configuration menus (what sound card do you have?) as well as every option in PowerDVD and make sure everything is set to stereo and not 5.1 or Dolby DTS, or whatever. If you have already done this or you don't find wnythin, I would recommend reinstalling or updating your sound card's drivers.

Please respond with your sound card type and info on your speakers.

    Hope this helps,

    Prospero
