I was at a computer show today and saw a setup on a PC monitor where there were 9 different videos playing at once....It was not one media player with a split screen and in it 9 vids, but the same player opened up 9 different vids...I really didn't research it that much and asked the guy about it and he really didn't know how his parter did it....the audio was off, i thought it was neat...who knows how to do it???thanks......

Sounds like they just double-clicked each of the 9 files and they all opened up in 9 instances of Media Player and played.

i had thought the same thing but when i tried to do it the media player just changed the video instead of opening in a seperate window...i was looking for something in the settings to open files in seperate player but didn't see anything.....

Well if you're still using Windows Media Player 6.4 (!!) then the setting is under the View menu>Options.
Select the Player tab and you'll see the two Open options - Open a new player for each media file played is the one you'd want.
I also have Windows Media Player 8 installed but find no way to set it to open multiple instances for multiple media files.
Windows Media Player 6.4 is part of a standard Windows XP install - it's located under the Program Files\Windows Media Player path, mplayer2.exe is Windows Media Player 6.4

i downloaded 6.4 but it wouldnt work...i am running win2k and 6.4 only works on 95..it wouldn't even install....

WMP 6.4 should be part of your Win2K install as well - do a search for mplayer2.exe
If it's really not there, you could install the Media Player Classic from the tools section (it's also bundled with the Real Alternative and QuickTime alternative).

Yes, you can do this with Quicktime which is available on Apple's web site.
