    As this is in the (S)VCD Authoring forum, and you mention a mpeg2 file, I'm guessing that you want to create a SVCD that you can play in a stand alone DVD/SVCD player.
    If so, I'd recommend authoring (and burning) with VCDEasy, last free version.
