I've been capturing video for a number of years but have to admit that my skills are still in the area of novice/intermediate and I've just recently updated my cards drivers and downloaded a better capture programme.
Now my problem is that when I go to use TMPGEnc to create my MPEG-2 files, I get black borders on the sides of my output SVCD compliant file.
I have printed off the SVCD guides featured elsewhere on this site (pritned off on 2/3/2002) and followed them from start to finish but still have these annoying bars squeezing the picture in the middle.
In TMPGEnc I set for advanced the following settings:
Source Aspect Ratio - 4:3 (625 PAL) which is what my source has been obtained from since I directly capture (using normal 480x576 resolution).
Video Arrange Method - Full Screen
Now if I set it to Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) I get the black bars on either side showing up (even on TV playback) so it would seem that either the Aspect Ratio setting needs to be changed to accomodate the Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) or something else is going wrong in my setting of the advanced settings in TMPGEnc.
Also, if this has been asked elsewhere, please give the URL so that I can get to the bottom of this problem.
