I have tried to use the toolame program with tmpgenc but get an error message saying ''can't use toolame as an external encoder''. So can anyone tell me how to use the Azid/Lame gui. There are three Lame option which are:
lame 1
lame 2
lame 3
Which one do i use and what settings do i have to use in order to create a wav to vcd compliant audio stream?
BTW the wav is 48hz.
Cheers.

As far as I know, LAME is a MPEG-1 Layer-3 encoder. So you can not use it for VCD audio. Correct me, if I am wrong.

tooLame: MPEG-1 Layer-2 encoder => MP2
Lame: MPEG-1 Layer-3 encoder => MP3
You can use tooLame (see http://www.flexion.org/audio/toolame/ ) as external Layer-2 encoder for VCD's and SVCD's in TMPGEnc. Are you sure that you have defined tooLame as external Layer-2 encoder in TMPGEnc?
As far as I know the Azid/Lame GUI can only be used for LAME, not for tooLame. Azid/Lame is usefull if you want to convert AC3 audio from a DVD to MP3 format (for DivX).
