Hi,
I am using TMPGEnc to transform AVIs into MPEG2s and then burning them as SVCD/XSVCDs with Nero.
On the VideoCD (first) screen of the new compilation template for SVCD in Nero, what is the best thing to check for encoding bitrate -- try to fit to disc size or user defined? Does Nero ignore this if you already have a MPEG2 loaded, or does it re-encode it again?
I would prefer to have Nero burn SVCDs without encoding it on its own -- is that possible, can this setting be toggled off?
Thanks,
Brian

Encoding video with Nero is like cutting the lawn with tweezers. I mean, sure, it can do it, but it's the crappiest way imaginable.
Go read the guides, and invest some time with TMPGenc. If done properly, Nero should NEVER re-encode.I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
