  1. I need a program that splits large SVCD movie files and VCD files to fit onto 2 or more CD-Rs.
    Also for DivX files.
I want to burn with Nero.

    Try Virtualdub for Divx files.

Software in the Tools section, guide for it in the Edit section.

You might be asking for too much. Both programs will do what you want for free and are pretty basic, no-frills programs. I'm sure that there are some commercial programs out there, but they won't necessarily do it any better.

You really are asking for the moon!

  7. StealthKing,

Easy Video Splitter at http://www.doeasier.org/splitter/ is pretty easy to learn and use, and it works quite well for me.

MPG Scissors is another and i think it's free. I vaguely remember trying it but I think it was a bit sluggish mainly due to the size of the media I was splitting were over 700Mb. I think it can be found probably in the tools section of dvdrhelp or if it is not there, you can try divx-digest (?). Sorry forgot the URL for that one.

In fact, I think divx-digest should have numerous cutting tools (amongst other tools) in a specific section.

    Cheers,

  8. Definitely have a look at the VirtuaDub link thats on here. It doesnt come much easier then defineing a start then stop point and saving it out.

    https://www.videohelp.com/virtualdubedit.htm

Basically just drag and drop the video file into the VirtuaDub window. Define the start and stop points by dragging the start and stop point markers and go to Save As.
