Please excuse me as i am new to the forum. I have had a look at the other areas but am still a little confused.

I have edited some video with Power Director 1.1 and created a PAL dvd MPEG 2 quality ( 25 fps & 5m Bit rate) mpg file (17 mins - 704mb). I have tried to burn it with nero to SVCD (I dont have a DVD Burner) and it is rejecting the file.

Will Tmpgenc re-encode the mpg file correctly for me to burn to SVCD using nero and how do i do it.

    Thanks for your help.

Do you have (buy) the MPEG-2 codec for nero. It does not come standard with the version that ships with CD-R/RW burners? SVCD requires the MPEG 2 Codec.

    jdizzy40,

Thanks for your reply. I dont have the codec. Is it paramount that i get it. I was looking to re-encode with tmpengc and then burning with nero, but your saying that wont work either, and i will need to get it. Is that right?

    Thanks
